Monocle Lake Campground has 42 campsites and is located next to the lake in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Lake Superior is also just a mile away. The quiet and beautiful campground is also a great area to see fall colors.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (30 to 80 feet). Each site also has a table, lantern post, tent pad, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. There is also a boat launch/ramp between the campground and day-use area. Cell service is fair in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Brimley State Park (8 miles) and Bay View (7 miles).
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating (non-motorized), fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. A forest of northern hardwood, aspen, red maple and white birch offer great fall color viewing opportunities.
