D. H. Day Campground is also nearby (about 18 miles to the north) and you may also like Lake Michigan Campground. Wilson State Park Campground (mid state) is also nice.

I have stayed in the group sites a few times, which we loved. However, we tend to do a lot of cooking and would like an individual site, since carrying everything is wearing on us.
2 Questions: Can I have a tent for 3 family members and a camper for 3 as well on the same site? Also, can I book more than one site at the same time for another family member?
Hi Victoria,
CampsitePhotos.com is not associated with any of the campgrounds listed on our site. We provide the photos and additional campground information. I recommend you contact the campground directly at: 231 326-4700 ext. 5029
Do you guys have full hook-up for motor homes?
Hi Emily,
Platte River campground has 68 campsites with electrical hookups. No full hookups are available.
Just booked site 442 at Platte River campground for my tent. Think it’s non electrical. True?
Hi Barb,
That is correct. Platte River campsite #442 is non-electric. All sites in the 400 loop are non-electric.
I understand each site can only have two cars, but if we have a third car (staying under the 6 person max) is there a place to park it inside the campground?
Hi Sarah,
I have not been able to confirm if there is an overflow parking area for extra vehicles for registered campers. You may trying calling the Park phone at 231-326-4700, ext. 5029 at Plat River Campground.
Fantastic campground with large sites. The walk in sites are especially nice. It’s a short walk to a gorgeous Lake Michigan Beach. Modern, clean, toilets and showers.
