Union Bay Campground has 120 campsites (with electric hookups) and is located next to Lake Superior in Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. Camping is available year round, but reservations are taken from May through October.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (2o to 60 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. You can have up to 2 vehicles and 6 people per site.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a camp store, fishing pier, playground and swim beach near the campground. Bike and canoe/kayak rentals are also available. Some cell service is available in the area.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, disc-golf, shooting, hiking, biking, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, down-hill skiing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
You may also like Fort Wilkins Historic State Park or Bewabic State Park.
