Schoolcraft State Park Campground has 28 campsites and is located along the Mississippi River in a secluded north woods park. Group camping is also available (up to 20 people).

Campsites are on the rustic side and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 40 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Amenities include potable (drinking) water and vault toilets. There’s also a boat access/ramp and picnic area available.

Schoolcraft State Park – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.  The 22-5acre park also has a trail system that leads hikers through a virgin pine forest that includes a white pine that is more than 300 years old.

You might also like Sandy Lake Recreation Area or Norway Beach Recreation Area. Onegume Campground is also nice.
