Crowder State Park includes 1,912 acres of rolling hills and wooded areas in northern Missouri. The campground includes 41 large campsites each with a paved parking pad, a table, fire ring and grill. Most have electrical hookups and there are a few larger ‘family’ campsites. First-come, first-served sites are also available.
Crowder State Park campground is nicely laid out with good space between campsites, restrooms with vault toilets, showers, WiFi, a dump station, playground and drinking water. The camp host sells ice and wood. You can also rent kayaks, canoes and standup paddleboards at the park office.
The 1,912 acre Park also has an 18-acre lake for fishing and boating, a few large picnic areas, a playground, tennis court, archery range, biking and wildlife viewing. There’s also 17 miles of hiking, mountain biking and equestrian trails that will take you through forests and meadows.
If you’re heading south, you may want to check out Van Meter State Park as well.
