Finger Lakes State Park Campground has 35 single-family (mixed-used) campsites and is a popular ATV/OHV area. There are 16 campsites with electric hookups, and each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground also has drinking water, vault toilets, hot showers, drinking water, dump station and a friendly campground host. Group camping is also available.
The campground is open year round, but showers/water are only available April 1 through October 31.
Finger Lakes State Park sits in former coal mining area and offers a variety of off-road trails, as well as a motocross track and pump track. Mountain bikers will also be challenged by the 2.75 mile Kelley Branch Mountain Bike Trail and 4.5 mile water trail. And least we forget, there are many lakes and fishing holes scattered throughout the park. Other outdoor recreation includes swimming, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, scuba diving, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
If you’re heading west, Van Meter State Park is worth a visit. It doesn’t have any ATV/OHV riding, but it has some nice fishing and camping.

nice quiet park considering no one camps much in Feb. The roads were clear of snow and the cement pad was large. We will consider returning if we are in the area again.
