Pomme de Terre State Park is located next to beautiful Pomme de Terre Lake and has roughly 240 campsites. All campsites are reservable from April 1 through October 31, and are first-come, first-serve other times of the year.
Pittsburg Campground (featured here) is open year-round and has 116 campsites with several along the shoreline. Campsites can be reserved from April 1 through October 31. Campers can choose from basic (no hookups), electric, electric & water or family sites. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.
Amenities include water (spigots), showers, playground, a dump station, playground, boat ramp and vault & flush toilets. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host. A full-service marina, beach, shelter house, picnic area, park store and trails are also available in the Pittsburg area.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, water sports, swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, hiking, biking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also nice in the area.
