Roaring River State Park campground has 3 camping areas with a total of 187 campsites in the southwest Ozark hills and is one of Missouri’s most popular state parks. The campground offers premium electric campsites, full hookup sites and basic electric sites. The campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Group camping, cabins, and first-come, first-served sites are also available.
Roaring River State Park has flush toilets, hot showers, a camp store, swimming pool, picnic areas and playground. There’s also miles of hiking and biking trails, and the Roaring River is regularly stocked with trout.
If your travels take you east, you may want to check out Round Spring or Pinewoods Lake campgrounds. Spavinaw Area Campground over in Grand Lake State Park (OK) and Mill Creek Campground (Table Rock Lake, MO) are also nice.

I’ve been coming for 63 years and I love the raccoons, the showers and everything about being down there.It’s my favorite place I went on all the trails it’s like being in a different world for a week. Love it

Don’t forget to give Roaring River State Park a rating.
The basic tent camp sits are horrible. It’s just an open field, if you are lucky you might get a small tree on your site. The park itself was great but I would spend the extra money for an electric site that has some shade, especially in the summer months.
I love this park, great little area to be out in nature. They have some great amenities. I do wish they had water and 50amp at each site. It would make it alot better.
We have camped here for years and LOVE it. It is our favorite place to camp and fish and eat and sleep AND repeat!!! Has the fish cleaning table been rebuilt yet?
