Sam A. Baker State Park is located in the St. Francois Mountains and has 200 campsites in 2 campgrounds, 21 equestrian campsites and 18 cabins. Some sites have electric hookups.
Campground 1 is open and reservable May through October. Amenities include drinking water, modern restrooms, showers, trash collection and a dump station.
Campground 2 is open and reservable year-round and offers basic and electric campsites. During the on-season (April through October), drinking water, modern restrooms and a shower house, laundry room and dump station are available.
The equestrian campground is open March through November and offers basic and electric campsites, drinking water and a vault toilet.
The park also has a boat ramp, rentals, picnic area and playground. Firewood is also available for sale at the park.

The area offers a variety of outdoor fun including hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also nice here.
