Watercress Overview

Watercress Campground has 19 campsites and is located next to the beautiful Current River with the town of Van Buren. Campsites have easy access to the river.

Campground amenities include drinking water, vault and flush toilets and trash collection. There’s also a beach and boat ramp next to the campground. The Watercress Boat Launch is situated on the west bank of the Current River and provides a double-lane, concrete boat launch for motorized and non-motorized boats. This access is less remote than some other sites on the Current River.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 50 feet). Two group sites are also available and can accommodate up to 75 people and 25 vehicles (36 ft. max).  Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.

Big Spring Campground is also nearby.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. A picnic / day use area is also at the site.
