Baker’s Hole Campground has 73 large campsites and is located next to the Madison River in the Custer-Gallatin National Forest near West Yellowstone. Most campsites are reservable but some are first-come first-serve. The campground is popular during the summer months.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are 33 sites with electric hookups (16-23 and 22-50), and all have 30 and 50 amp. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for purchase from the camp host. Cell service is fair in the area.
The Madison River by Baker’s Hole is known for its world-class fly fishing. Other popular activities in the area include rafting, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, mountain biking, OHV trail riding, hunting, horseback riding and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also spectacular. Cell service is good.
Other campgrounds in the area include Lonesomehurst, Cherry Creek and Rainbow Point. All three are located next to Hebgen Lake.
