Bear Creek Campground has 12 campsites in a forested area along the creek at the base of the western slope of the Madison Range in southwest Montana. The small campground features 12 campsites, 6 on each side of the creek. The six sites north of the creek include facilities for horses/stock, while those south of the creek are non-horse use only.

The campground is generally open mid May to mid November. Amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 28 feet). Each site also has a table, food storage locker (bear box), fire ring and grill. Sites 7-12 also have hitchrails and corrals for horses. Cell service is not available in the area.

Bear Creek Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, horseback riding, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Eagle Creek and Mammoth (Yellowstone National Park).
