Cliff Point Campground has 6 campsites and is located on the shores overlooking the turquoise blue waters of Cliff Lake in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. Although small, this is a hidden jewel of a campground with spectacular views of the lake and mountains. Nearby Wade Lake is a little more popular, but both lakes offer great fishing, bird watching, canoeing/kayaking and wildlife viewing (elk, deer, moose).
Campsites can accommodate tents and trailers (up to 16 feet) Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground has vault toilets. There is no cell service at the campground.
Cliff Lake is located north of the junction of US Highway 287 and Montana Highway 87. The spectacular lake is has turquoise blue waters that are very similar to what you’d find in the Caribbean (although the water temp is quite a bit cooler). The lake is popular for fishing, canoeing, hiking and wildlife viewing. Wade Lake is nearby and offers lodging and equipment rentals.
