At 6,300 feet, Cromwell Dixon Campground has 15 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs with spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains and surrounding meadows. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground has drinking water and vault toilets.
Our favorite Cromwell Dixon campsites are: 1, 2, 8, 10 and 13.
The campground offers a great basecamp to a variety of outdoor activities including biking, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, boating, fishing, horseback riding, climbing and winter/snow sports. It’s also located right on the Continental Divide, with access to the nearby Continental Divide National Scenic Trail.
Other Helena area campgrounds you may also want to check out include: Moose Creek Campground, Kading Camp and Vigilante Campground.
