Hood Creek Campground has 26 campsites and is located next to scenic Hyalite Reservoir, in the Bozeman Ranger District of the Gallatin National Forest. It is 17 miles south of the city of Bozeman, Mont.  Group camping is also available.

Some sites are located in open meadows along the shoreline, while others are located among scattered pine and fir trees. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring, grill and food storage locker. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and a dump station. There’s also a boat ramp nearby. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Cell service is not available in the area.

Hood Creek – Area Recreation

The surrounding area offers many outdoor recreational opportunities, including boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, mountain biking, OHVing, hiking, backpacking and climbing. Wildlife viewing is also great in the area.
