Many Glacier Overview

Many Glacier Campground has 101 single-family campsites and is located on the east side of the Continental Divide in Glacier National Park. A beautiful forest of mature Douglas fir, lodgepole pine and quaking aspen provide nice shade to most campsites. Hike & Bike (#71), Backcountry (#59) and Group (#37) campsites are also available.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Most parking pads are small and will not accommodate units over 21 feet. A limited number of campsites (13) can handle trailers/RVs from 26 to 35 feet. Many sites will not accommodate camper “slide-outs”.  Campsites 88 to 102 are “generator free”.  Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. There are also 22 food storage lockers are also available throughout the campground. Campground amenities include shared water spigots and flush toilets.  Cell service is not available in the area.

The Swiftcurrent Motor Inn is also nearby and has a restaurant, camp store, gift shop, limited groceries and hot showers ($).

Many Glacier – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes backpacking, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, boating, kayaking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also very nice in the area. There are also a number of lakes nearby including Swiftcurrent, Redrock and Fishercap.

Other campgrounds you may also like in Glacier National Park include Apgar, Avalanche, Fish Creek, Rising Sun, Sprague Creek, St. Mary and Two Medicine.
