Rainbow Point campground has 85 campsites set among a nice pine forest along the southern shore of Hegben Lake in the Custer Gallatin National Forest. There are 47 electric hookup sites available in B and C loops. It’s also about 10 miles north of West entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include food storage lockers, drinking water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. A boat ramp, kayak rentals are also available on site. Cell service is fair in the area.

Rainbow Point – Area Recreation

There’s an incredible amount of outdoor recreation in the area including boating, water sports, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, backpacking, OTVing, horseback riding and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also spectacular in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Bakers Hole, Lonesomehurst and Cherry Creek.

    Our family has stayed in the campground many times and really enjoy it. Only wish it had full hookups for trailers.
