Red Cliff Overview

Red Cliff campground has 62 campsites and is located next to the beautiful Gallatin River and about 45 miles south of West Yellowstone. Campsites are fairly large and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. The campground has 26 sites with electric hookups (sites 1-26).

Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Some also have a BBQ pedestal. Check in and check out time is 2:00pm. Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. There is also a day-use group picnic area available. Cell service is poor in the area.

Red Cliff – Area Recreation

The campground is a great basecamp to explore Custer Gallatin National Forest, Big Sky and West Yellowstone. Outdoor activities include fishing, rafting, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Visitors can often see bear, moose, elk, bighorn sheep, deer and even bald eagles.
