Sheridan is a small campground and has 9 single-family campsites on the banks of the Main Fork of Rock Creek, about 5 miles south of Red Lodge. Campsites are suitable for tents, trailers and RVs (up to 30 feet). Each site also has a food locker, table, fire ring and grate.
Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. You can also purchase firewood from the camp host at Rattin campground. Cell service is poor in the area.
There is excellent fishing along the Main Fork of Rock Creek and Greenough Lake (8 miles away) is also popular for fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Other outdoor recreation includes hiking, biking, picnicking and ATVing. A variety of wildlife also frequent the area including grizzly bear, deer, elk and other forest creatures.
