Spring Gulch Campground Bitterroot National Forest Montana

Spring Gulch Overview

Spring Gulch 003

Spring Gulch Campground has 10 single-family campsites and is located on the banks of the beautiful Bitterroot River in a beautiful ponderosa pine forest. It’s also about 50 feet from the Highway 93.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, fault toilets and trash collection.  RV hooks are not available. Cell service is poor in the area.

Spring Gulch – Area Recreation

There’s a number of mixed-up trails in the area, perfect for hiking, mountain biking or horseback riding. Visitors can also enjoy fishing, rafting, kayaking, ATVing and picnicking. There’s also a number of natural hot springs in the area, including Lost Trail Hot Springs (about 7 miles from the campground). And wildlife viewing is very good with opportunities to see deer, elk, moose and other forest creatures.
