Wade Lake Campground has 27 campsites and is located next to the crystal clear waters of Wade Lake, about 35 miles west of Yellowstone National Park. There are 25 single-family sites and 2 group sites.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 25 feet). Each site also has a gravel parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. The campground generally opens in mid April and closes in mid September. First-come first-serve camping is available mid April to mid May, and sites can be reserved from mid May to mid September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water and 5 vault toilets. Bear proof food storage lockers are also available. Cell service is not available.
Wade Lake offers fishing for rainbow and brown trout, as well as boating, canoeing and swimming, despite the cold water. Boats can be rented at Wade Lake Resort. Just five miles away, the world renowned Madison River offers blue ribbon fly fishing. Hiking trails begin right at the campground , as well as, in the nearby Lee Metcalf Wilderness. Off Road Vehicle trails are abundant in the Gravelly range though there are no trails in the immediate campground area.
Other campgrounds in the general area include Cliff Point, Madison River, Beaver Creek and Cabin Creek.
