West End Tent and Trailer Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Fort Peck Lake has over 1,500 miles of pristine shoreline with 27 recreation areas located around the reservoir. Boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding and water sports are popular at the lake. The Missouri River also offers excellent fishing. Other activities in the area include biking, hiking, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

The area surrounding Fort Peck was first charted by Lewis and Clark in 1804, and the pristine natural condition of the river and surrounding area awed the renowned explorers.

The Fort Peck Dam Interpretive Center and Museum is also nearby. It offers displays of wildlife dioramas, aquariums, dinosaur fossils and dam construction history.
