Arrowhead Overview

Arrowhead Campground has 51 campsites and is in a forested area next to Badin Lake in Uwharrie National Forest. Group camping is also available.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs, although sites #46 to #49 are tent only. Double-family sites are 3, 27 and 29. All sites, except for site #23, are accessible to people with disabilities. Campsites 12-45 have electric hookups. Each site has a table, grill, fire ring, lantern post and parking spur.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, sinks, hot-water showers, trash collection and a dump station (located across from the pay station). Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is fair in the area.

Arrowhead Campground – Area Recreation and Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, horseback riding, OHV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. About 40 miles of non-motorized trails are available for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking. There is also about 17 miles of motorized trails for off-road vehicle riding. The surrounding land offers both big and small game hunting. The Cove Boat Ramp is also near the campground.

Other campgrounds in the area include Badin Lake, Badin Lake Group, Hobo Corner and Morrow Mountain State Park.
