Frisco Campground has 127 campsites and is one of four campgrounds located at Cape Hatteras National Seashore. The other 3 campgrounds are Cape Point, Oregon Inlet and Ocracoke.
Frisco Campground is generally open early April through late November and many campsites have ocean views. Hookups are not available, but each site has a table and BBQ pedestal. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, cold-water showers and trash collection. Cell service is fair in the area.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, windsurfing, fishing, beach combing, sunbathing, hiking, biking, OHV riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Cape Hatteras National Seashore protects parts of three barrier islands: Bodie Island, Hatteras Island, and Ocracoke Island. Beach and sound access ramps, campgrounds, nature trails, and lighthouses can be found and explored on all three islands.
