Tsali Overview
Tsali Campground has 40 campsites located in a wooded area at the tip of Fontana’s Lake Mouse Branch. The campground is open early April through October and all campsites are first-come, first-serve.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Lemmons Branch Boat Launch is also nearby (1.8 miles).

Tsali Campground – Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, water sports, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Tasali Recreation Are has a 4-loop trail system that is also popular for mountain bikers, hikers and horseback riders.
- The Right Loop, rated easy, offers 13.9 miles of single track, with shorter 4- and 8-mile loops possible.
- The Left Loop, rated moderately difficult, is 11.9 miles of single track with views toward the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Fontana Lake.
- The Mouse Branch Trail, rated moderately difficult, is 8.7 miles of single track and old logging roads.
- The Thompson Loop, rated moderately difficult, is 7.3 miles of single track.
There is a per-person day use fee for trail use. Fees can be paid at either the Tsali Bike or Horse Trailheads.
