Platte River SP Overview

Platte River State Park is located along the Platte River and offers 48 full hookup sites, 31 camper cabins and 3 glamping cabins near Jenny Newman Lake. It’s also about half way between Lincoln and Omaha.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 50 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, modern restrooms, hot-water showers and trash collection. Firewood is also available for sale at the campground/park.  There’s also a fenced dog park. Cell service is good in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, biking, horseback riding, hiking, shooting (range), archery (range), picnicking and wildlife viewing. The park also has an amphitheater, playground, marina, restaurant, spray park and observation towers above the Platte River Basin.
