Big Rock Campground has 28 wooded campsites and is a short distance from large boulders that were dropped from glaciers many moons ago. It’s also close to a number of nearby attractions ncluding Otter Rocks, the Lincoln Woods Visitor Center, and many popular hiking trails along the Kancamagus Highway.
The campground is generally open late May through early October. Amenities include drinking water (faucets), vault toilets, trash collection and overflow parking. Cell service is not available in the area.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 40 feet). Each site also has a tent pad, table, fire ring and grill. Eight of the campsites are walk-to (tent only) and have a common parking area. share a common parking area. Hookups are not available. Campsites are available on a first-come, first serve basis and reservations.
Other campgrounds in the area include Russell Pond (5 miles), Osceola Vista (6 miles) and Waterville (8 miles).
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, swimming, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
