Dolly Copp Campground has about 183 campsites and is located along the Peabody River at the base of New England’s tallest peak in White Mountain National Forest. Culhane Brook also passes through the campground.
The campsites are large and organized into several loops. Some sites have 30-50 amp hookups. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (15 to 45 feet). There are 42 tent-only campsites.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers (coin operated) and trash collection. There is also a few play fields and picnic areas (including a large picnic pavilion). Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available.
The campground is a hub for hikes into the Presidential and Carter-Moriah Ranges. The Daniel Webster Scout Trail leads from the campground into the Great Gulf Wilderness on the northeast side of Mount Washington. Many more miles of trails can be accessed within a short drive. Other activities include fishing, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
