Cimarron Canyon State Park Campground is in New Mexico’s high country, where spectacular palisade cliffs and clear running waters dominate the landscape. The campground has 94 campsites set up in 4 campground loops. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground also has drinking water, flush toilets, vault toilets and trash collection. Campsites can be reserved, but others are also first come first served.

Area Recreation & Activities

Cimarron Canyon State Park is part of the 33,116-acre Colin Neblett Wildlife Area—the largest wildlife area in the state. The area is great for fishing both the Cimarron River and is tributaries, Clear Creek and Tolby Creek.  Other outdoor recreation includes hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, hunting, horseback riding and wildlife viewing.

Eagles Nest Lake State Park is just a short 12 miles away and has 19 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs.
