Eagles Nest Lake State Park Campground is located next to Eagles Nest Lake and has 19 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. Six of the campsites are reservable and 13 are first-come first served. The campground offers both pull-through and back-in level sites and is easily accessed from U.S. 64 via the main park entrance road (Marina Way).
The campground has drinking water and vault toilets. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. The park also has a visitor center, boat ramp, picnic areas, interpretive programs, hiking and equestrian trails.
Eagle Nest Lake State Park is at 8,200 feet and offers a cool retreat for fisherman, boaters and wildlife enthusiasts. Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, horse back riding and wildlife viewing. Winter sports include ice fishing, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
Eagle Nest Lake State Park is also located 32 miles east of Taos and surrounding communities include Eagle Nest, Angel Fire, Red River and Cimarron.
Cimarron Canyon State Park is just 12 miles away and has 94 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs.
