Hyde Memorial State Park campground has 50 campsites (7 with electric hookups) and is located in along Little Tesuque Creek in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The park is also a short drive to Sante Fe.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Yurt and group campsites are also available. Each campsite has a parking spur (20 to 50 feet), table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include vault toilets, flush toilets (at visitor center), trash collection and a dump station. Drinking water is available, but only at the Ranger station. Water is not available at the campsites/campground or at the RV dump station.
There’s also a playground, volleyball court and picnic area/shelters. Cell service is poor but is a little better over by the visitor center.
Outdoor recreation includes hiking, mountain biking, tubing (when water is high), picnicking and wildlife viewing. The Park is also popular for spring flowers and fall colors. Although the campground is close in the winter, you can also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
You may also like Tetilla Peak Recreation Area or Cochiti Recreation Area campgrounds.
