Joe Skeen Campground has 7 first-come, first-serve (free) campsites and is located along a cliff in a high-desert setting. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Up to 2 vehicles and 8 people are allowed per site.

The campground is open year-round. Amenities include drinking water and 2 vault toilets. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Cell service is not available in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes ATVing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, stargazing and wildlife viewing.

You may also like El Morro National Monument Campground.
