La Sombra Campground Carson National Forest New Mexico

La Sombra Campground has 13 campsites and is located along a creek and adjacent to Rio Fernando in Casias Canyon.   All campsites are first-come, first-serve and best suited for tent camping or small trailers (up to 12 feet). Sites also require a short walk from the parking area.

Amenities include 2 vault toilets. No water is available. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, ATVing, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in Casias Canyon include Capulin and Las Petacas.
