Sumner Lake State Park has 35 large campsites arranged in 3 loops (Eastside, Mesquite and Pecos) with most having nice views of the lake. Many campsites also have hookups. There’s also primitive/dry camping along the lakeshore.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVS. Each site also has a table, shade structure, fire ring and grate. Group camping is also available.
Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, showers, trash collection and dump station. There’s also 3 boat ramps, a boat dock, playground, visitor center and group picnic area.
Sumner Lake State Park offers many activities including boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, mountain biking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing. Water-fowl hunting is also allowed during season. The lake is home for many warm water species including walleye, bass, crappie, and channel catfish.
Santa Rosa Lake State Park is 50 miles to the north.
