Water Canyon Campground has 11 campsites and is located close to a creek in Copper Canyon (Magdalena Mountains). Group camping is also available. All sites are first-come, first-serve.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Amenities include 2 vault toilets and trash collection. Drinking water is not available. A group picnic area is also located near the campground. Cell service is not available in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking ATVing, mountain biking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, stargazing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

If you’re heading south, you may also like Elephant Butte Lake State Park.
