Beaver Dam State Park (NV) Overview

Beaver Dam State Park has 2 developed campgrounds near deep canyons, streams and waterfalls in a high-desert area of eastern Nevada. Forests of pinyon, juniper and ponderosa also in the park.

Campgrounds A and B can accommodate tents and small trailers/RVs. Camp roads and parking spurs are dirt. There are no hookups available but each site has a table, fire ring and grill. Drinking water is available April through November and vault toilets are available year-round.  There is no dump station but trash receptacles are provided.  Cell service is not available.

Area Recreation and Activities

There are a variety of hiking trails to choose from including the Overlook Trail, Oak Knoll Trail and Waterfall Trail.  Other activities include fishing, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

A large (reservable) group picnic area is located in Campground B. It can accommodate up to 60 people. It has a large shade ramada, tables and horseshoe pits. A picnic / day-use area is also at the east end of Campground A. It has picnic tables, potable water, BBQs and restroom facilities

Other Nevada state parks in the area include Kershaw-Ryan, Cathedral Gorge, Echo Canyon and Spring Valley. You might also like Honeycomb Rocks Campground.
