Big Bend Campground has 19 campsites in an aspen grove and is located next to the mining town site of Gold Creek in a remote area of northern Nevada. Very little remains of the town as most of it was moved or torn down in the 1920s. A plaque at the town site contains additional information.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 25 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Potable drinking water is not available but there are 2 vault toilets and trash receptacles. Cell service is not available in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Wild Horse Creek Crossing and Wild Horse SRA.
Popular outdoor activities in the area included OHV trail riding, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Snowmobiling and cross-country skiing are also popular in winter months.
