We love Davis Creek… the smell of the pines, the shade they provide… and I love the sound of the breeze as it blows through the trees.
People on other sites have complained about the traffic noise from I-580, but it’s never been a problem for us and we usually try to get a spot on the freeway side of the campground. There are lots of squirrels and chipmunks around, and it’s a short drive or bike ride to Bowers Mansion, just down the road. The only negative comment I might make is having to pay for the dumpstation. Camping is up to $20/night, and I think for that fee, dumping should be at no charge.
We HIGHLY recommend Davis Creek if you’re looking for a peaceful place to go for a weekend.
