Hickison Petroglyphs Recreation Area Campground has 17 campsites and is located in a remote high-desert (6,500 feet) area of central Nevada. The primitive (BLM) campground is open year-round and all campsites are first-come, first-serve.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a gravel parking spur, table, BBQ pedestal, fire ring and grill. Some sites have shade ramadas and others have decent shade from trees. Campground amenities include vault toilets and trash collection.
This is a great place for hiking, stargazing and checking out the ancient petroglyphs and protected cultural resources. There are also some OHV and mountain biking trails in the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Bob Scott, Kingston and Big Creek.
