Thomas Canyon campground has 42 campsites and is located along Lamoille Creek with spectacular views of Lamoille Canyon in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.  Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are three pull through sites (4, 16 and 40), and five “double” sites (7, 16, 32, 37 and 40), which cost twice as much as a single site. The smaller sites (more suitable for tents or very small RV’s) are 9A, 25, 26, 28, 30, 33, 38A, 38 and 39. Our favorite sites (mainly for the views or creek proximity) were 3, 5, 21 and 23. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring, grate, and BBQ pedestal.

Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets (cleaned twice per day).

Thomas Canyon – Area Recreation

Lamoille Canyon is spectacular and its scenery rivals a few National Parks.  Outdoor recreation includes hiking, backpacking, climbing, fishing and mountain biking. Wildlife viewing is also really nice in the area.
