Washoe Lake State Park Comments & Reviews
Visited Washoe Lake State Park Campground lately? We'd love to hear about your adventure. Did you find us useful? Did we forget something? Anything our community should know before heading out to Washoe Lake State Park?
Are reservations able to be made or is it a first come first served?
Ho Jolean,
All campsites at Washoe Lake State Park are fist-come, first-served (no reservations available).
If there are no reservations, is there another similar park nearby that might have additional spaces for overflow?
Thank you,
Ed
Hi Ed,
You might try Davis Creek Regional Park (10 miles away) or Mt. Rose campground (42 miles away).
Hello,
Is the dump station still closed? Also, is April generally a busy time of year there for camping?
Thank you.
Nancy
Hi Nancy,
I’d call Washoe Lake State Park (775 687-4319) directly to check and see if the dump station is still closed. It generally becomes available late April/early May through Fall. April isn’t too busy up there – still a little chilly, but you’ll have some camping neighbors.
Just checking to see if the camp sites have been full, hopefully I can snag on elate Friday evening?
thanks
