North South Lake campground has 207 (mixed-used) campsites and is the biggest and most popular state campground in the Catskill Forest Preserve.

Campsites are suitable for tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers and a dump station. There’s also a picnic area, playground, sports field and firewood available for sale. A boat ramp and boat rentals are also available at the lake.

North South Lake – Area Recreation & Info

Outdoor recreation includes boating, fishing, water sports, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking, hunting and wildlife viewing. In the winter, visitors can also enjoy  snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Devil’s Tombstone campground is located about 8 miles away and you might also like Schodack Island State Park.
