Schodack Island State Park sits off the eastern shore of the Hudson River just south of Albany and has 66 single-family campsites in 2 loops. The Riverside Loop has sites 1-14 and the Creekside Loop has sitges 15-66. There are 42 sites with electric hookups. Four picnic / tent shelters are also available to reserve.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (30-50 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.
Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, a dump station and trash collection. The park also has hiking and biking trails, boat launches, playgrounds, playing fields, volleyball courts and picnic areas/pavilions.

The park has been designated a State Estuary and a portion of the park shelters a Bird Conservation Area (BCA). It is home to bald eagles, cerulean warblers and blue herons that nest in the cottonwood trees. Eight miles of multi-use trails (hiking/biking) also wind through a variety of ecological communities. Other activities include boating, paddle-boarding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hunting, horseshoes, volleyball and picnicking. You can also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in the winter.
