Lake Wister State Park offesr 5 camping areas around the 115 miles of scenic shoreline in southeast Oklahoma. Camping/lodging options include RV sites with full hookups, RV sites with water & electric hookups, tent sites and 15 cabins. The park also has a group camp that can accommodate up to 100 people. The group site has a dining hall with a full kitchen.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush and vault toilets, trash collection and dump stations. There’s also picnic/day use areas, playgrounds and boat ramps. The camping areas include Below Dam (16 sites), Quarry Island (31 sites), Victor Landing (62 sites), Wards (25 sites) and Wister Ridge (15 sites).
The park’s one or two-bedroom cabins and can accommodate up to 4-6 people. There are one to two queen-size beds in each bedroom with linens, sleeper sofas and a 32-inch flat screen TV. Each cabin also comes complete with kitchen, restroom with shower and air conditioning. Dishes and cookware are no longer stocked in the cabins. Pets are welcome to stay in a select number of cabins at the park for a daily pet fee.
Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, water sports, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. There’s also a nature center, miniature golf course and a water spray park.
