Ainsworth State Park Campground has 40 full-hookup campsites and is located in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, home to the world’s highest concentration of high waterfalls. The campground is open mid March to mid October and has drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers, playground and an RV dump station. There are also 6 walk-in tent sites and additional bike-in campsites. Firewood is available for sale from the campground host. In addition to the full-hookups, each site also has a table, fire ring and grate.
Ainsworth State Park offers visitors the opportunity to hike through old-growth forests and see spectacular waterfalls (like Multnomah Falls). Other outdoor recreation includes biking, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, fishing, picnicking and wildlife viewing. There are also a number of historic sites in the area you can explore.
Oxbow Regional Park is down on the Sandy River Gorge (about 34 miles away) and has 75 campsites.

We stayed in the tent sites C2 and C3. C2 was definitely the worst. C4 and C5 were larger and more flat.
