Bull Bend Campground Deschutes National Forest Oregon

Bull Bend Overview

Bull Bend Campground has 12 single-family campsites surrounded by the Deschutes River in a forested area just below Wickiup Reservor Dam.  The sites are large and spread out.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 45 feet). Campground roads and parking spurs are gravel. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Hookups are not available. Up to 1 vehicle and 6 people per site. Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Potable (drinking) water is not available.  Cell service is good in the area.

Area Recreation & Activity

Outdoor recreation in the area includes rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, OHV trail riding, mountain biking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also nice in the area.  Boat fishing or drift fishing is the best way to catch fish; motorized boating is not permitted. The water is Class II flatwater up to about 6 miles below Sunriver, where there are a number of dangerous falls.

Other campgrounds in the area include Pringle Falls, Wyeth and McKay Crossing. You may also like La Pine State Park.
