Candle Creek Overview
Candle Creek Campground has 10 large campsites and is located next to the confluence of Candle Creek and Metolius River in a secluded area of Deschutes National Forest. Jefferson creek also flows near the campground. The campground is generally open mid May to mid September. You’ll travel about 2 miles (from Lower Bridge) on a well-maintained gravel road to the campground.
Campground amenities include vault toilets. Cell service is not available in the area. Camp roads and parking spurs are gravel.
Even though the parking areas are very large (up to 60 feet), trailers and RVs are not recommended. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.
Other campgrounds in the area include Lower Bridge, Pioneer Ford and Allen Springs.
