Clear Lake Campground has 27 single-family campsites on the eastern shore of Clear Lake in Mt. Hood National Forest. The campground is open June through September and has drinking water, vault toilets and a boat ramp. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Five of the sites are tent only. Each campsite has also a table, fire ring and grate. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host.
Outdoor recreation includes fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, biking and wildlife viewing. Motorized boats are allowed on the lake, but the speed limit is 10 mph. Wild mushrooms also grow here in the late summer and fall, so you’ve go that going for you. Winter sports include cross-country skiing and snowmobiling.
Other campgrounds in the area include Frog Lake and Little Crater Lake. Rock Creek Campground is also nice.

I have gone camping at Clear Lake since I was a baby. Just went this last weekend. It’s always been my favorite. The last few years it seems to be getting more and more polluted. I filled a LG bag full of garbage around the campground before feeling comfortable unpacking. I also hauled it all out to the dumpster. I wish others would clean up as well as we do.
Well not much water, not many camping sites, no wood available, no camp host, very windy and dusty.. we will never be back.
