Cougar Crossing Campground has 11 campsites and is located at the confluence of the South Fork of the McKenzie River. It is also near the the south end of Cougar Reservoir and is the closest campground to Terwilliger Hot Springs.

The campground is open year round. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (26 to 40 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Drinking water is not available. The interior roads and spurs are gravel. Cell service is not available in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Sunnyside, Slide Creek, French Pete, Hard Rock Group and Red Diamond Group.

Cougar Crossing – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, fly fishing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Boat, fishing and other water sports are also available over at Cougar Reservoir.
