French Pete Campground has 16 good sized campsites and is located at the confluence of French Pete Creek and the South Fork of the McKenzie River.  The campground is also heavily wooded and the campsites fairly private.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (24 to 42 feet). Each site also has a gravel parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water (from hand pump), and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available in the area.

French Pete Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Hard Rock (Group), Cougar Crossing, Sunnyside, Slide Creek, Red Diamond (Group) and Horse Creek (Group).
